Ashlyn + Adam (1.31.21)
PROCESS:
I knew for this particular teaser, that I wanted to add in more elements of sound design rather than depending solely on the music to carry it.
With that being said - I had to rely on the sound coming from my iMac speakers to balance everything (new speakers are coming in this week!!!) so things could have been more dialed in admittedly.
Before I could do that though, I had to find the right song…cue music bed.
I like to find my music first to set the tone and pacing of the film. From there, I wanted to focus on a few key elements or shots that I thought captured the spirit of their day.
Highlights Of The Day:
Out of nowhere, a bunch of peacocks started showing up throughout the day - we even named them (Christopher, Reptar, and Zak).
I also love that the ceremony spot had a pond as the backdrop…it makes for a super dreamy and dramatic film.
The space where the ladies got ready had an amazingly well lit area. I aways tell couples to only book places to get ready that have either tons of natural light or provides great lighting. I can of course bring my own gear to light the area - but why do that if we can fix the issue up front?
Someone brought a wig to wear just for the reception / dancing. It’s a vibe. I appreciate it.
